There has long been a need for a program that would provide an orientation for people who find themselves having to interact with the mental health system. People try to navigate the mental health system, hoping to get help for their loved ones, yet they don’t know where to start. A partnership of organizations have come together and is producing a program that will address this problem. The partners are:
The Mental Health Crash Course's 90 minute seminar acts as an orientation to the mental health field. The Mental Health Crash Course began in February, 2016 and has increased its time over the years to accomodate people's questions and needs. Due to Covid-19, we are holding the classes on Zoom. The Crash Course is given on Wednesday evenings every week of the year, including holidays. You can also get more information at our NAMI Contra Costa office located at 2151 Salvio St, Ste. V, in Concord's Todos Santos Square.
